DAY 1: Depart for Nairobi 

Depart from London Heathrow Airport or your preferred airport on a scheduled flight to Nairobi.

Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey.


DAY 2: Arrive in Nairobi

Jambo! Welcome to Kenya.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, clear immigration, collect your luggage and follow sign for exit.

You will be greeted at the airport by our English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel.

Rest of the day is free time at leisure. (Kenya is 2 hours ahead of UK GMT).

You can visit your family and friends etc.

In the evening dinner at an Indian restaurant in the hotel.

DAY 3: Nairobi – City tour

After breakfast, we depart for Nairobi city tour excursion offering you a perfect opportunity to learn about Kenya’s history, traditions, tastes and culture. This tour takes you through the Central Business District viewing local shopping centres, the Masai market, Parliament Buildings, Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) and the Railway Museum.

Then we also visit both

  1. Giraffe Centre: Visit the Giraffe Centre where you feed the friendly Rothchilds Giraffe. They accept a kiss as they pick their food from your palms!
  2. Elephant Orphanage: Visit the David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, where young orphaned elephants are brought after being rescued and fed till they are mature to be released to the wild.

Later we visit the Diamond Plaza for lunch and shaping.

DAY 4: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru – Flamingos – Safari Game Drive

After an early breakfast, you will meet our driver/guide, board your 4 x 4 safari vehicle with open top roof for game viewing and head north into the Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru National Park, which is famous for its thousands of colourful flamingos and abundant rhinos.

Enroute visit the Great Rift Valley is part of an intra-continental ridge system that runs through Kenya from north to south. It is part of the Gregory Rift, the eastern branch of the East African Rift, which starts in Tanzania to the south and continues northward into Ethiopia.

On arrival, enjoy 2hrs of game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, home to rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo and numerous species of plain game. The lake is often coloured by a shimmering flamingo pink from the beautiful birds lining its shores.

Afterwards you will head back to your safari accommodation.

In the evening enjoy Indian dinner at the lodge.

DAY 5: Nakuru – Naivasha

This morning after breakfast,  you will meet our driver/guide, board your 4 x 4 safari vehicle with open top roof for game viewing and head north into the Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha a large freshwater lake a large freshwater lake which is part of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya (approx 3 hours journey). It is home to an abundance of birdlife, including the iconic African Fish Eagle

En-route you will pass the miles of rich tea & coffee plantation and then the Great Rift Valley, with dormant Longonot volcano taking Centre stage.

After lunch, enjoy a boat ride along the lake. The area is best known for sightings of hippo, giraffe, waterbuck, velvet monkey and the rich and varied birdlife on offer.

Afterwards you will head to your safari accommodation

In the evening enjoy Indian dinner at the lodge.

DAY 6: Naivasha – Masai Mara – Game drive

This morning after an early breakfast, we depart for our visit to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.  We will drive through the spectacular Great Rift Valley via Narok town (The major Masai administrative centre).

Masai Mara is one of Kenya’s most precious wildlife sanctuaries. This area has one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wild animals. The African wildlife can be found here in staggering numbers, which in turn increases the count of predator population. We will arrive in good time for you to enjoy lunch at the lodge.

During your afternoon game drive you may see wildebeest, herds of buffalo, lion, impala, giraffe, elephant, warthog, ostrich, cheetah, hyena and other wildlife.

Migration – From August to October sees the Great Migration (hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra) in search of fresh water & grass, entering the Masai Mara from Tanzania, creating one of the world’s most incredible wildlife spectacles.

It is during this journey that some of the animals fall victim to the enormous Nile crocodile when crossing the Mara River.

DAY 7: Masai Mara – Game Drive

Today early in the morning we go for game drive in Masai Mara National Park. Later return to the lodge for breakfast.

After short reset, we take a full day morning & afternoon game drive in Masai Mara National Park, the Kenyan part of the vast Serengeti ecosystem and in the rain season, home to arguably the greatest concentration of wildlife.

Covering the fabulous plains we encounter large herds of elephant, wildebeest, zebra, hippo, giraffe, gazelle and other prey to the hunting lion, hyena, leopard and cheetah.

In the evening enjoy Indian dinner at the lodge.

DAY 8: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Flight to Mombasa

After an early breakfast we depart Masai Mara and head across acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Masai land.

From here cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley whilst keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle before heading up the rift escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners during World War II.

You’ll arrive into Kenya’s bustling capital Nairobi around mid-day.

Proceed for lunch at an Indian restaurant before transferring to Jomo Kenyatta airport Nairobi to board your flight to the vibrant city of Mombasa.

Upon arrival at Moi International Airport Mombasa, collect your luggage and follow sign for exit.

Watch out for our guide who will be holding a placard with ‘Welcome Cobra Holidays’ on it.  You will be greeted at the airport by our English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel where you will spend the next 4 days at leisure.

In the evening enjoy Indian dinner at the hotel.

DAY 09: Mombasa

Today after breakfast free time at leisure, enjoy the facilities the hotel offer, with its glistening white sands, and where the warm, clear waters are excellent for snorkelling and diving.

In the evening enjoy Indian dinner at the hotel.

DAY 10: Mombasa – City tour

This morning after breakfast free time at leisure.

After early lunch we proceed for sightseeing city tour of Mombasa. The town dates back to the 12th century when spice traders arrived from Arabia blown across on the Trade Winds. Visit the historic old quarter, dominated by the medieval Fort Jesus built by the Portuguese in the 16th Century, with its ancient mosques and narrow bustling streets, the old dhow harbour, central market, and including a visit to the Akamba wood carvers where you have the opportunity to see the carvers at work and buy souvenirs.

Then we visit LIGHT HOUSE where local public meets and socialise in the evening. You can try the local snacks like coconut water, roasted peanuts, fried/roasted cassava (mogo) and fried mogo crisps. Later return to your hotel.

In the evening enjoy Indian dinner at the hotel.

DAY 11: Mombasa

Today after a leisurely breakfast free time at leisure.

Optional:  Visit & meet your friends.

Meet friends and visit your previous home, places of our childhood like school, Nyali bridge, Mombasa old town, Makadra, Hindu temples, Moons cinema etc. which left years ago.

In the evening enjoy Indian dinner at the hotel.

DAY 12: Mombasa –  London

Today after breakfast free time at leisure. Later you will be transferred to Mombasa airport to board your flight London Heathrow Airport.

Your flight includes meals, drinks, and in-flight entertainment for your journey.


DAY 13:  Arrival in London

On arrival at London Heathrow Airport terminal 3, follow signs for arrival/baggage claim, clear immigration, collect baggage and follow sign for exit.

  • Return flight – If your flight departs in the morning, you will arrive in U.K. on the same day.
  • Return flight – If your flight departs in the afternoon / evening, you will arrive in U.K. on the next day.

Visa Requirements

1. British Citizens require a 10 year machine readable passport, valid for 6 months after the return date, when travelling abroad.

2. Visa: Kenya: British Citizen passport holders require visas to enter Kenya.

Kenyan entry visas are exclusively issued electronically, with passengers required to obtain their e-visas before departure. You can apply for single entry and transit visas on the Kenya e-visa website - https://evisa.go.ke/.

Please ensure you make your own arrangements to obtain the Visas if you require them.

3. Ensure your passport has sufficient blank pages. Most destinations require that you have adequate un-used pages in your passport, allowing for any necessary stamps upon arrival and departure. We recommend for each country you are visiting that you have at least two free pages in your passport before any international travel.
