DAY 1: Depart for Crete

Depart from Airport for your flight to Crete.

Note: Complimentary airport transfers will be provided if flight departing from London Gatwick Airport, London Luton Airport or London Stansted Airport except London Heathrow Airport.

Kalimera! Welcome to Greece. Upon arrival in Crete Airport, you will be greeted at the airport by our English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to recover from jet lag and get ready for the adventures awaiting you! (Crete is 2 hours ahead of UK GMT).

In the evening enjoy the local entertainment provided by the hotel.

DAY 2: Crete

After breakfast, free time at leisure, relax on the beach & enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

DAY 3: Crete- Visit Knossos temple – City Tour of Heraklion & Market

Today after breakfast, we drive east, along the north coast and enjoying a lovely view of the dark blue waters of the Cretan sea, we reach the city of Heraklion. Explore the Minoan Palace of Knosso, walk around the ruins and excavations of the island’s vast ancient palace and learn about the Greek mythological tales that are linked to it.

Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Heraklion city and shopping at the local Market. Hear fascinating snippets of history about each sight and learn about the city under Venetian rule – an era that influenced the architecture of Heraklion. Visit the “Fountain of Morozini” (Lions fountain), the Basilica of Saint Mark, the Loggia, the Church of Agios Titos and shopping at the local market. Late afternoon return to our hotel.

DAY 4: Crete

This morning after breakfast, free time at leisure, relax on the beach & enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Note: This tour is operated if we have minimum of 20 passengers.

During this lively evening you’ll have the opportunity to join in the dancing yourselves, but, watch out for your table – it could be your turn!

DAY 5: Crete

This morning after breakfast, free time at leisure, relax on the beach & enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

DAY 6: Crete – Exciting Happy Train (Dotto Train) Tour

This morning after breakfast, we depart on an exciting & fun journey on a Happy Train (Dotto Train) to visit the local villages nearby. The Happy Train is a 1.5 hour round trip Stalis-Hersonissos-Malia, which gave you a good idea of where everything is situated & a chance to see the scenery en route. You can get off at each resort & then get back on a later train if you want. We return to the hotel by 1p.m.

DAY 7: Crete

After breakfast, free time at leisure, relax on the beach & enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

Note: This tour is operated if we have minimum of 20 passengers.

A full day that gives you the chance to see something of the history of the area and the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It is lovely way out for all the family.

In the morning at 09:30am, you will be taken to the fishing village of Elounda from where you will embark.

We board the boat will take you through the gulf of Elounda to the former leper-colony of Spinalonga. As you approach Spinalonga you will be struck by its melancholy atmosphere as you first glimpse its abandoned houses. Your guide will take you on a tour of the island and explain its fascinating history. Spinalonga was once a leper colony where lepers from all over Greece and Crete were sent.

In the afternoon you will visit the popular cosmopolitan resort of Aghios Nikolaos, here you can do some shopping and go to the little lake with the little fishing boats.

Our last night in Crete, share wonderful memories of our journey at our Farewell Dinner with your fellow travellers tonight.

DAY 8: Flight Depart Crete – London

Today, you will be transferred to Crete Airport to board your flight to London.

On arrival in London Airport, follow signs for arrival/baggage claim, clear immigration, collect baggage and follow sign for exit. Board your coach and you will be dropped at your original pick-up point.

Note:

Return flight – If your flight departs in the morning, you will arrive in U.K. on the same day.
Return flight – If your flight departs in the evening, you will arrive in U.K. on the next day.
