DAY 1: Depart London for Hurghada

Depart from London Airport

Note: Complimentary airport transfers will be provided if flight departing from London Gatwick Airport, London Luton Airport or London Stansted Airport for your flight to Hurghada.

Welcome to Hurghada. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport by our English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to recover from jet lag and get ready for the adventures awaiting you! (Hurghada is 3 hours ahead of UK GMT).

DAY 2: Hurghada

DAY 3: Hurghada – City Tour

After breakfast, board our coach and depart for city tour of Hurghada. There’s much more to Hurghada than modern resorts and tourist facilities.

North of the resorts, you’ll find Old Hurghada, or Ad-Dahar. Most locals live in Ad-Dahar, and it is here that you’ll find the most authentic restaurants and hotels.

The best way to find your bearings when arriving in a new city is to take a city tour. This three-hour trip with your own private guide is the perfect way to see the sights of Hurghada including the Big Mosque, St Mary Church, the port area and of course free time for shopping in the bazaars.

The highlight of the old town is the souk, or market. It’s easy to spend several hours here, browsing the local produce and spices, and shopping for take-home souvenirs like rugs, water pipes and traditional clothing. You will visit some of the Bazaars where you will have free time to put your bartering skills to good use.

DAY 4: Hurghada

After breakfast, free time at leisure, relax on the beach & enjoy the facilities of the hotel.

DAY 5: Hurghada – Luxor

Today after breakfast we board our coach and drive to visit Luxor city. We will visit the ancient city of Luxor in luxury on a private day trip from Hurghada accompanied by your guide. The highlight of today is to visit the following:

Valley of the Kings

The final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty, the Valley of the Kings is home to tombs including the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamun.

Hatshepsut Temple

The queen who would-be king, Hatshepsut was a ruler loved by her people but always surrounded in controversy. See her spectacular temple in Luxor’s West Bank, one of the best preserved of its kind.

Karnak Temple

Although badly ruined, no site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man, and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and pharoahs. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples situated on 247 acres of land.

Luxor Temple

The Temple of Luxor was the center of the most important festival, the festival of Opet. Built largely by Amenhotep III and Rameses II, the temple’s purpose was as a setting for the rituals of the festival. The festival was to reconcile the human aspect of the ruler with the divine office.

Your private tour also includes a felucca ride on the Nile, and a horse and carriage ride in Luxor.
Time permitting visit the local market for shopping.

Late afternoon we return to our hotel. The rest of the day is free time at leisure.

Today after breakfast free time at leisure. In afternoon after lunch you will be transferred to Hurghada Airport to board our flight to London.

On arrival at the Airport, follow signs for arrival/baggage claim, clear immigration, collect baggage and follow sign for exit. Board your coach and you will be dropped at your original pick-up point.

Visa Requirements

  1. British Citizens require a machine readable passport, valid for 30 days after the return date, when travelling abroad.
  2. Visa: Hurghada (Egypt) - British Citizen passport holders do require visas to enter Egypt and it can be obtained on arrival at Hurghada Airport. Please ensure you make your own arrangements to obtain the Visas if you require them.
  3. Ensure your passport has sufficient blank pages. Most destinations require that you have adequate un-used pages in your passport, allowing for any necessary stamps upon arrival and departure. We recommend for each country you are visiting that you have at least two free pages in your passport before any international travel. Your passport must not be damaged in any way i.e. no water or oil marks, torn pages etc.
